"Injured forwards Brian Rolston and John Madden were both on the ice Monday morning as the Devils practiced at the Prudential Center.

Rolston has been out with a high right ankle sprain and Madden with a bruised left ankle after being hit by a shot. Neither Bobby Holik (broken right pinkie) nor Andy Greene (broken right hand) took part in practice.

"I hope I'm playing Thursday, that's what I'm shooting for," Rolston said this morning. "I'm feeling okay."

Interestingly, the players are wearing only white (forwards) and black (defensemen) jerseys , not different colored sweaters for each line. Sheldon Brookbank, originally dressed as a forward at the very start of practice, just switched to a black jersey.

Barry Tallackson and Petr Vrana are both still here. Dainius Zubrus, who was weaknened by a stomach ailment in Pittsburgh and wound up on the bench for the final 10 minutes Saturday night, is back at full strength.

Rolston is holding nothing back, showing speed and maneuverability. He's at right point on the first power play with Jamie Langenbrunner at the left point. Up front are Zach Parise, Patrik Elias and Travis Zajac.

Second power play unit is Johnny Oduya and Paul Martin on the points with Zubrus, David Clarkson and Brian Gionta up front.

First penalty-killing unit is Madden and Jay Pandolfo, Bryce Salvador and Colin White. In addition to defensemen, penalty-killers also temporarily put on black jerseys."
