Favre story won't go away

Vikings players will report to training camp today in Mankato. Brett Favre, it's safe to say, won't be there. If the Vikings are going to return to the NFL playoffs for the first time since 2004, the players already on the roster must be responsible for it. They can't worry about the daily Favre updates that surface in the media and whether he could push them over the top.

Why would the Vikes even want Favre anyway? I've been a Vikings Fan for as long as Favre has been in this league and maybe even longer to say he is a Hall of Famer in my opinion is a reach. Even though in his career he has had some very good years he has also had som very bad ones and the only reason he has put up those numbers is because of the number of games he has started.Since when did anyone get into the Hall of Fame just because the had no significant injuries in their career? The worst thing I think about Favre is (and I've seen him at least 2 times a year) is that if you put pressure on him he always makes bad decisions. Sometimes his receivers save him by making an outstanding play but as a Viking Fan who eats sleeps and dreams of the purple and gold I DO NOT WANT TO SEE FAVRE IN PURPLE AND GOLD!! If Childress has got even half a brain Booty will be our Starting QB from week 1
