If the Rockies will take Kennedy for Fuentes, then let him go west. Kennedy is young and talented, but I can only see him as a 4-5 starter in NYC. Also, with the Bombers certainly in the hunt for Sabathia this winter (without having to give up any bona fide prospects and only$s, which they'll have plenty of after waving goodbye to Giambi, Matsui and others), the starting rotation might project to CC, Wang, Petite, Mussina and Hughes. Granted, Moose is ancient and Petite is no youngster, but with terrific prospects in the Minors and steinbrenner bucks, any bumps in the road can, as always, be rectified on the fly. Also, if the Yanks can sign Fuentes, he would give them that southpaw out of the pen they have long coveted as well as a stopgap to either Mariano breaking down (seemingly unlikely), or Farnsworth either flying the coop or not asked back (probably one or the other).
