"Fighting through his knee injury, the perpetual peppy Chucky Atkins had been down of late. But on Tuesday morning, he walked through the Pepsi Center corridors and happily proclaimed to the media, "How y'all ladies and gentlemen doing?" Chucky's back. Atkins played his first game of the season for the Nuggets on Tuesday, after surgery on his right knee. He had an assist on his first possession, a quick one-touch pass to Chauncey Billups for a shot clock-beating 3-pointer. "It just feels like the first game of my career," Atkins said. For the night, Atkins finished with two free throws and no field-goals (0-for-3) in nine minutes, but tallied four assists. "I had knee surgeries, and the first time back, you feel like you're in a foreign country," Denver coach George Karl said."
