Today, Carlyle signed a two-year extension with the team, meaning he has three years remaining on his contract through the 2010-11 season. After the Ducks won the Stanley Cup last year, he agreed to a one-year extension in June.

"In our view, Randy is one of the top coaches in the NHL," said Ducks General Manager Brian Burke."
