Harry Zolnierczyk had a five-minute major rescinded by the NHL last Thursday for a kneeing penalty incurred against Washington’s Mathieu Perreault.
That’s not going happen to his latest five-minute major, this one for charging, in which Zolnierczyk caught Ottawa’s Mike Lundin with a shoulder to head, also drawing a game misconduct.
Look for at least a one-game suspension coming this week.
Lundin, who had to be helped off the ice and could be concussed, did not come back in the game which very often works against the offending player when “Shanabans” are handed down.
The play happened midway into the first period.
Zolnierczyk would not discuss the incident after the Flyers taut 2-1 victory on Saturday.
Zolnierczyk likely facing suspension for hit
