Zach Parise was shocked that a video review from the NHL's War Room in Toronto went in favor of the Devils.

When the Anaheim Ducks' Ryan Getzlaf kicked the puck into the net at 3:50of overtime tonight, the call on the ice ruled it a goal. But after the video review, it was ruled that Getzlaf kicked it in.

That allowed the Devils to eventually beat the Ducks, 3-2, in a shootout.

"We finally got a call in our favor from Toronto. It was nice," Parise said. "To come back and win it, it was good to get that extra point.

"I thought it was going to be a goal. They called it a goal on the ice and we usually don't get calls in our favor from there (Toronto). I was surprised. I really was surprised that it got overturned."

The play reminded Parise of his own goal that was disallowed in a 3-2 loss to the Islanders on Nov. 26. It was ruled that he used a distinct kicking motion to score what would have been the tying goal with 2.1 seconds remaining in that game at the Prudential Center.
