Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano is planning to fire agent Scott Boras, tweets ESPN’s Buster Olney. Cano will be one of the top free agents for the 2013-14 offseason with the potential to sign a $200 million contract.

Cano, 30, hit .313/.379/.550 last season with 33 home runs and 94 RBIs with the Yankees. He won both the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger at second and came in fourth in MVP voting. Other major free agents handled by the Boras Corporation include Red Sox center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury and Reds outfielder Shin-Soo Choo.
