The Washington Wizards were hopeful that rookie forward Otto Porter would be able to play on Opening Night though there is growing concern that won’t be the case.

Porter who has a strained right hip flexor has been out of action for a month since suffering the injury on September 14th and doesn’t look like he’s had much improvement.

The third overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft is expected to see a doctor in the very near future and is hoping for some good news though knows that rest will be his biggest ally in getting back onto the court.
