New Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo coached the tight ends for six seasons in Green Bay before taking over as quarterbacks coach the past two seasons.

Last week, former Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride said that before he departed the team had discussed the need for a faster, bigger tight end than the incumbent Brandon Myers, who was more of a receiving tight end than a blocking tight end.

With McAdoo on board, may the Giants go after Packers unrestricted free agent tight end Andrew Quarless, who is raw but showed potential in relief of the injured Jermichael Finley this season?

Quarless, 6-foot-4, 252-pounder, was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised on Long Island. He was a fifth-round pick by the Packers in 2010 out of Penn State.
