Sports Illustrated's Peter King spoke with Tennessee Titans Coach Mike Munchak during the NFL owners meetings in Phoenix and asked him why he hired Gregg Williams, the former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator who was suspended by the NFL for the 2012 season for orchestrating the team's bounty/pay-for-performance system.

It's worth the read.
One especially interesting section is Munchak's take on the infamous tape recording made before the divisional playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers during the 2011 playoffs:

"The stuff Gregg said, I heard him say it a hundred times, going back to when we (the Oilers) hired him as a quality-control in 1990," Munchak told King. "I never thought he crossed the line. It was just the way he talked. Rah rah. No one ever thought he meant to hurt anyone. If I didn't know him, his words would probably be a problem. But I knew Gregg. I'd heard it all before.
