The White Sox have listed their pitchers through Monday’s home game against the Toronto Blue Jays and Hector Santiago isn’t among them. With a day off on Thursday the White Sox have opted to skip Santiago’s next turn in the rotation though manager Robin Ventura sounded on Tuesday as if he’ll give the left-hander one more start.

Santiago is 4-9 with a 3.53 ERA in a career-high 142 2/3 innings this season.

“The last few starts he's had he just looks tired” Ventura said. “Pitching as many innings as he has this year just give him a rest and see what he does next time out.”

The White Sox plan to start John Danks on Wednesday and will turn to Andre Rienzo Chris Sale and Erik Johnson for the team’s three-game series at Detroit. Tuesday’s starter Jose Quintana returns to the mound on Monday against Toronto.
