Warriors power forward David Lee has a fresh scar from stitches above his right eye, bruises up and down both arms and a back that almost creaks when he sits.

In a season that has lost any playoff prospect, the easy thing would be for Lee to shut it down. Instead, he has stepped up.

"He's been great. I think he's understands that there's a void," head coach Mark Jackson said. "Monta (Ellis) was great for us with his voice and his actions. Steph (Curry) and (Andrew) Bogut have been good, but they're not on the floor. David has been more vocal, and he's been very good on the floor for us."
