The Vikings have signed linebacker Stanford Keglar, who played a combined 35 games for the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans from 2008-10, the team announced Wednesday morning.

Keglar has not started a game in the NFL and hasn't played in the league since the Texans cut him just before the 2011 season; he played for the Las Vegas Locomotives of the UFL last season. But the 6-foot-2, 240-pound linebacker is another player the Vikings can evaluate over the summer and into training camp.

If they do move Erin Henderson to middle linebacker, they would have to find a replacement for his old spot on the weak side, and behind Henderson, the Vikings have few proven options at either the middle or weak-side linebacker spots.
