According to reports, the Phillies have inked former Rockies starter Aaron Cook to a minor-league contract that could be worth $1.6 million at the major league level.
Cook, 33, was awful last season for the Red Sox, posting a 5.65 ERA in 14 starts before being banished. He is a sinkerball pitcher who doesn't walk or strike anyone out. Cook relies solely on the groundball, and if that ain't workin', look out.
