There is no official word from the Phillies yet, but Chase Utley's debut should happen at some point this week, perhaps in the next few days after he played second base for the second-consecutive day Saturday.

And there's a good chance Ryan Howard should be back sometime in July, although he hasn't started a minor-league rehab assignment yet.

No doubt, the Phillies will welcome Utley's impending return from chronic knee soreness, just like they will when Howard returns after having Achilles surgery last winter.

But what can we expect from Utley and Howard, and will it be enough to help the Phillies?

We can pretty much assume that Utley is no longer the guy who hit 30 or more home runs in a season three times and drove in more than 100 runs four times during his career, and that's even if you were to pro-rate his numbers this season over the course of 162 games.
