he current issue of Sports Illustrated projects the Pistons selecting UNLV forward Anthony Bennett with the No. 8 overall pick in Thursday’s NBA draft.

SI writes: “Can the 6-8, 240-pound Bennett play small forward? If he can, Detroit will fill out a formidable frontcourt with a player who several GMs say is the best talent in the draft.”

Therein lies the million-dollar question: Will Bennett be available at No. 8? It seems like four of five mock drafts have Bennett going in the top six.

He’s athletic, strong, versatile, a good ball handler and someone who can score inside and outside. He has drawn comparisons to Paul Millsap and Zach Randolph.
