The Indians have unleashed a new weapon for games at Progressive Field this season -- specifically, Sunday games. It is massive and colorful and generates plenty of light.
Say hello to the Indians' big little helper: the sun.
How ironic that the sun would assist a club that seemingly always plays in cold weather. And how interesting that the victims have been two teams that come from warm-weather climes.
For the second consecutive Sunday at home, the Indians parlayed a lost pop-up by the opposition into runs that served as foundation pieces for victory. When Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler failed to locate Johnny Damon's hit leading off the third inning, it triggered a three-run uprising. Right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez made the cushion work for him, allowing two hits in seven scoreless innings, as the Tribe defeated Yu Darvish and the Rangers, 4-2.
