Spurs will make moves this summer for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha and Everton’s in-demand midfielder Ross Barkley .

Mauricio Pochettino has a long-standing interest in both players and sees them as the men to add much-needed depth to his squad.

Barkley will have just a year left on his contract at the end of the season and has yet to agree a new one. Should the Toffees fail to tie him down they would have to sell or risk his value falling in his final 12 months.

Zaha wanted to join Tottenham last summer and is understood to have been upset that the Eagles twice rejected approaches from White Hart Lane that could have resulted in him playing Champions League football this season.
