Spurs are interested in a £30million move for Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa.

The north Londoners are sizing up potential targets as they bid to return to the Champions League next season and are aware that Costa, 26, is unsettled in Germany.

The Brazilian has made just 17 starts this season and is ready to quit this summer in search of more regular first-team action.

Spurs are ready to offload midfielder Moussa Sissoko this summer following the Frenchman’s failure to impress Mauricio Pochettino . But they are still looking to recruit quality to enable the Argentine to vary his tactics.

Costa, who would cost between £25m-£30m, featured as Bayern put Arsenal out of the Champions League earlier this year. He scored at the Emirates as the north Londoners were crushed 10-2 on aggregate.

But he has clashed with his own club over his current contract, which expires in 2020. In February Bayern president Uli Hoeness warned Costa that his “desperate attempts” to get an improved deal would not work.
