Tottenham Hotspur are ready to enter the bidding for Burnley defender Michael Keane, which could boost Manchester United’s hopes of landing Eric Dier.

Keane will leave Burnley at the end of the season and Premier League title chasers Tottenham are preparing to rival Everton and Liverpool for his signature.

United have also been credited with an interest in re-signing Keane, who they sold to Burnley for just £2 million two years ago, but manager Jose Mourinho is desperate to take Dier from Spurs.

Tottenham do not want to let any of their stars leave this summer, but Mourinho knows that his hopes of pushing through a deal for Dier would increase if Keane heads to White Hart Lane.
