Raffi Torres was injured in the second period of the Sharks’ preseason game against Anaheim on Friday night after a collision with Anaheim’s Emerson Etem.

On an Anaheim rush Etem attempted to remain onside by dragging his leg behind him at the blue line. A backchecking Torres didn’t have time to avoid running into him from behind sending Etem spinning like a top through the zone and leaving Torres in a heap at 6:34 of the middle frame.

Torres managed to skate back to the bench and walked to the locker room under his own power while Etem was helped off of the ice.

Etem returned to the Ducks’ bench before the end of the second period and took two shifts before intermission. Neither player returned for the third period.

After the game Torres was seen leaving the arena with his right knee wrapped and walking a slight limp.
