If Miguel Cabrera can't play tonight against the Angels because of a sore right ankle, then things could be even, because Albert Pujols might not play, either.
Cabrera often is called the best hitter in baseball. It's a title he has taken from Pujols, who remains a force. On Thursday night in Boston, Pujols was out of the lineup with a calf strain he suffered Wednesday.
To see Pujols in the same spot as Cabrera -- "day to day" -- shows how every team can be affected by injuries.
The White Sox will play the last several months this season without a top starting pitcher, left-hander John Danks, who needed shoulder surgery. Cleanup man Paul Konerko recently missed eight games with a concussion. The Sox went 5-3 without him.
