Dean Miller is heading back to Florida this week for his second dads trip to the Sunshine State this month, this time with the Red Wings.

Miller, of East Lansing, is the father of Red Wings forward Drew Miller and Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller.

This will be his second trip with the Wings and sixth overall.

"It's amazing," Dean said. "I was with the Sabres last week and it was the exact same trip, Tampa and Florida. I came home, dumped my dirty clothes, got some new stuff, and I'm back on the road."

Miller said the trips are different in part because of the different positions his sons play.

"It's a little more stressful with the Sabres," Miller said, because Ryan is the goaltender. "I was a forward, so I'm a little less worried when Drew's out on the ice as I am with Ryan."

Dean said Ryan put up with him well. "I didn't snore," he said.

Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard said he's bringing his grandfather this time and his only advice was: "No snoring. I told him if he snores like he's capable of doing I'll be wheeling him out in the hallway."

Howard said his grandfather is excited.
