Timberwolves forward Andrei Kirilenko said he suspected that Kevin Love might return for the team's game Wednesday night, Nov. 21, against Denver at Target Center.
Love had upgraded his workouts with the team over the past four days, although he had limited his physical contact to protect his right hand.
"He's been on the floor with us the past few days," Kirilenko said of Love before Wednesday's game. "I'm sure he knows what he's doing. He's a smart player. It's great to have your best player back."
Love was not expected to return until at least mid-December after breaking two bones in his right hand on Oct. 17 while doing knuckle push-ups at his home.
Thanksgiving Day off
Wolves coach Rick Adelman gave the team an off day for Thanksgiving. The team is scheduled to leave the Twin Cities at 5 p.m. Thursday for Portland to start a four-game, seven-day West Coast trip. The Wolves play at Portland on Friday night.
