As of last November, four Purdue football players accused in an alleged sexual assault incident on Oct. 13 were not charged in the matter. However, a new investigation has resulted in the expulsion of three players.

Initially, a West Lafayette Police Department investigation into the alleged incident at an off-campus house brought about no criminal charges. The players were suspended from the team but allowed to remain in school and attend class. However, a separate investigation from Purdue’s Administrative Board brought about different results with three of the four accused players being dismissed from the university. Those players have also been accused of providing alcohol to minors and maintaining a common nuisance

Mario Massillamany, who represented the accusers, issued the following statement to Fox 59.

“My clients and I appreciate Purdue’s careful review of the facts and circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident, which led to the expulsion of these three players. Purdue has taken the necessary steps to ensure that these players will not victimize another student, for which we are grateful.”
