Tim Thomas went through Florida Panthers practice at their practice rink and it appears that he might be ready to play Thursday night when his Panthers take on his old Bruins hockey club at the BB&T Center.

He's questionable for the game after tweaking his groin in the third game of the season for the Panthers and he didn't make the trip with the rest of the club to Nashville earlier this week. But it would be surprising if Thomas didn't all but demand to face the hockey club with which he won two Vezina Trophies and a Conn Smythe. Those glory days came before the 39-year-old Thomas skipped out on a team visit to the White House after winning the Cup and began posting his Tea Party-esque political beliefs on his Facebook account.

Either way Thomas won't be taking about Thursday's game against the Black and Gold until after it's all over. Florida Panthers PR officials informed the Boston media during their Wednesday team practice that Thomas won't be speaking until after Thursday's showdown.

Thomas adopted a policy in his final season with the Bruins of not speaking with the media on game day morning but now that has apparently extended to the day before in this particular case.
