The draft picks are falling in line.

The Texans have agreed to terms with third-round pick outside linebacker Sam Montgomery on a four-year deal worth $2.6 million with a $506,016 signing bonus. Montgomery was the team’s second of two third-round picks. They also took offensive tackle Brennan Williams in that round.

Montgomery played defensive end at LSU.

The Texans have been working Montgomery outside as well as fourth-round pick Trevardo Williams. One of them could be a starter opposite Whitney Mercilus next season. During rookie minicamp, Montgomery suffered a minor back injury that reduced his repetitions and delayed his progress.
