The Chicago Bears are just one of the teams in the NFC North to get a close look at Manti Te’o.

The Notre Dame linebacker has made a pre-draft visit to the team, according to the Palm Beach Post, and they would be the third team in the division that is known to have investigated Te’o. He has already visited the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions and is meeting with the Miami Dolphins this week.

Te’o is one of the top-rated inside linebacker in the draft and it is a position of need for the Bears. Each NFL team is permitted to bring in 30 players for a pre-draft visit but they don’t necessarily mean a player is sitting at the top of a team’s draft board. Some believe Te’o will be a late first-round pick.

Te’o has been closely scrutinized since Notre Dame’s loss in the BCS National Championship Game and the fallout afterward concerning his fake girlfriend and the hoax surrounding that story.
