The tests keep rolling in for the Orlando Magic.

The latest began shortly after the Magic hosted the Washington Wizards on Friday night. After the game, the team left town to begin a road trip that will consist of stops in Atlanta, Houston, San Antonio, Chicago and Cleveland.

It's the third time this season the team has embarked on a five-game, nine-day road trip.

Many Magic players spent at least part of Friday afternoon packing for the journey.

"I just throw as much stuff in the bag as I can and just hope for the best," DeQuan Jones said.

Jones was joking, of course.

Jones and his fellow rookies have learned some of the tricks to prepping for a long trip.

"Black shoes go with everything," he said. "I get a checklist from my mom. My mom texts me and makes sure like, 'Hey, have you got enough pairs of socks?' "

Generating wins will be more difficult than packing a suitcase. The first four opponents — the Hawks, Rockets, Spurs and Bulls — began Friday with a combined overall record of 172-112 (.606 win percentage) and a combined home record of 98-44 (.690).
