It hasn't been the best week for Dallas Stars prospects this week as two are out with injury and a third is out due to suspension. Other players haven't been lightning up their respective scoreboards either.
Radek Faksa is out for 4-6 weeks with a MCL strain and should be back in action for Kitchener by the OHL post season. It was feared that his injury could be far more serious and end his season completely. It doesn't require surgery which could have hurt his short term or long term development.
Brett Ritchie was suspended for two games for instigating a fight after a big hit on one of the Niagara IceDogs rookie players. Details and video of the incident can be found here. He returned to action on Sunday and went pointless in a 2-1 loss. Gemel Smith had a slow week with only 1 goal through three games this week. In his final game in the week, a 5-0 loss, he was a -3.
Mike Winther had a single goal through three games and in his second game he finished a -3 in a 4-1 to the Kamloop Blazers. He finished with an even plus minus after a 6-2 loss against the Kelowna Rockets. Matej Stransky played three games this week finished with two goals and an assist. He got a goal and an assist during the Saskatoon Blades 5-0 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Sunday. Branden Troock is out with injury again.
Troy Vance played two games and finished +2. Maxime Lagace did not play a single game for the Prince Edward Island Rocket this week.
John Klingberg played two games for Skelleftea this week and had a single assist through those games. Ludwig Bystrom played two games for Orebro in the Allsvenskan and did not register a single point. He was a +1 over those two games. Emil Molin played three games for Byrnas and did not register a single point through those there games.
