It's well-known that the Stars are in the market for another center, and the biggest name on the market remains Ottawa's Jason Spezza.

The Stars inquired about a trade for Spezza at the draft but the discussions didn't lead anywhere and Ottawa looked elsewhere. The Senators reportedly had a trade ready that would've sent Spezza to Nashville, but the player nixed the trade as the Predators were on his list of 10 teams he didn't want to go to.

Originally, ESPN's Pierre LeBrun reported that the Stars were also one of 10 teams on Spezza's no trade list, but that sentence was later removed from his story. That could leave the door open just enough for a deal.

On Sunday, the Ottawa Sun's Bruce Garrioch listed the Stars as one of four "serious options" for the Senators to negotiate a Spezza deal with.
