Niners left guard Mike Iupati sustained a broken left fibula in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, but the injury did not involve ligament damage and won’t require surgery, a league source said.

The expectation is the two-time Pro Bowl selection will be fully recovered in about two months after he was injured in the second quarter of a 23-17 loss to the Seahawks.

Iupati, who had shoulder surgery last offseason and did not participate in OTAs, missed four games in the regular season with a sprained MCL. Before his injury, he had made 58 consecutive starts to begin his career.
