The New York Giants have agreed to a two-year contract with veteran fullback John Conner according to league sources.

The Giants were in need of a strong lead blocker after losing starting fullback Henry Hynoski to a fractured shoulder during a 38-0 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

The 5-foot-11 245-pounder last played for the Cincinnati Bengals where he appeared to outperform converted tight end Orson Charles during a training camp competition but was beaten out for the starting job and was released.

Conner is a former New York Jets starting fullback who was selected in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL draft out of Kentucky.

Nicknamed "The Terminator" Conner has rushed for 88 career yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.
