The Miami Heat on Wednesday night were without Ray Allen for the first time since adding the free-agent guard in the offseason.
Allen was listed by the Heat as being out for the game against the Charlotte Bobcats at Time Warner Arena with a "stinger" in his right shoulder, sustained when he was caught by a hard screen by Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins late in the Heat's Christmas Day victory at AmericanAirlines Arena.
Allen briefly left Tuesday's game after absorbing the contact, but then returned to play to the finish, making three late free throws.
Allen had appeared in each of the first 25 games, playing at least 16 minutes in each. He played 22 minutes Tuesday.
