The offseason has officially seen its first surprising cut. The Giants decided that paying Ahmad Bradshaw over $3 million was outside of their budget range, so they decided to part ways with him on Wednesday. Bradshaw rushed for 1,050 yards in 14 games last season and was an integral part of the Giants' offense.

Bradshaw now hits the waiver wire, but with his current contract, teams may opt to wait until he clears waivers to sign him as a free agent. Should that be the case, one team that could have interest is the Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals definitely need some help in their depleted backfield. Beanie Wells and Ryan Williams simply cannot stay on the field, which is an issue Bradshaw has as well with his recurring foot injuries. Still, adding a veteran back that can do a bit of everything may be something Coach Bruce Arians and the team's front office might want to look at.
