Dodgers right-hander Shawn Tolleson left a game in Peoria, Ariz., after injuring his left knee throwing a pitch to the San Diego Padres' Gregorio Petit.
The team said Tolleson had mild soreness in the knee and will be re-examined today. He is day-to-day.
"It sounded like (head athletic trainer) Sue (Falsone) was ruling out the big stuff," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said after the game.
Tolleson made his major-league debut with the Dodgers last season and appeared in 40 games out of the bullpen. He went 3-1 with a 4.30 ERA. He's competing for one of the team's final bullpen spots.
