After 14 missed games and too many practices without his teammates, Patrick Sharp had reached his limit.

"I'm hungry and fresh and ready to get back out there," Sharp said before the Blackhawks shut out the Wild 1-0 Tuesday night at Xcel Energy Center. "Whenever you miss one game, you're itching to get back in the lineup. Enough's enough. I'm excited to be back and happy to be with the guys again."

Sharp returned to the lineup for the first time since suffering a left shoulder injury March 6 against the Avalanche. The veteran winger had been skating for weeks on his own and then was practicing with teammates, but the Hawks were in no rush to get him into games as they had raced to a big lead in the Western Conference.

"I felt fine," Sharp said afterward. "I got a couple of hits early to make sure I felt into the game and ready to go. My timing was a little off but for the first game back I felt great."
