The Nashville Predators on Wednesday signed defenseman Seth Jones, their top pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Jones, 18, was selected with the No. 4 pick and has been attending the Predators development camp this week.

"Obviously, I'm going to have to perform to the best that I can," Jones said earlier this week at the camp. "Hopefully I'm given an opportunity to do that here in Nashville next year, but I have to earn it first."
