All-American linebacker. Team leader. Media freight train. The whole thing.

Manti Te'o is coming to the Chargers.

San Diego traded up in the second round with the Cardinals, moving up from the No. 45 to the No. 38 pick to select the former Notre Dame inside linebacker. He is expected to start alongside Donald Butler in the Chargers' 3-4 scheme.

General manager Tom Telesco gave Arizona a 2013 fourth-round pick, No. 114 overall, to move up the seven spots.

Te'o had a pre-draft visit with the Chargers earlier this month.
