The New Orleans Saints have agreed to a three-year contract with restricted free-agent defensive end Junior Galette, the team announced Saturday. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately available.

The 6-2, 258-pound Galette, is expected to compete for one of the outside linebacker positions in the Saints' new 3-4 defensive scheme. In three seasons, Galette has 9 ½ career sacks, including a career high five last season.
