Roy Halladay coming off the best of his three starts since returning from shoulder surgery was scratched from his scheduled Tuesday outing with flu-like symptoms.

Tyler Cloyd will pitch in his place against the Padres.

Halladay allowed one run in six innings last time out against the Nationals giving him a 4.24 ERA in three starts after he missed 3 1/2 months. Overall he’s 3-4 with a 7.19 ERA for the season. The current plan is for him to pitch on Thursday
