Though Ian Kinsler leads the AL in times picked off and is uncharacteristically among the league's most inefficient base-stealers, Rangers manager Ron Washington said Thursday he has no intention of slowing Kinsler down in the wake of devastating outs on the bases in the previous two games.

Kinsler was picked off and then caught in a run-down between second and third on Wednesday with no outs in the third inning and Elvis Andrus in the process of trying to move him to third. A night earlier, he killed a rally by being picked off third with one out and Josh Hamilton at the plate after being bunted to third. He wandered too far down the line and squared his shoulders towards home plate, making it more difficult to get back to the base quickly. According to Stats, Inc., Kinsler has been picked off five times this year, tied for the Rangers' club record with Otis Nixon who did it in 1995.
