Jeff Francis' locker was cleared out Wednesday, and his time with the Rockies could be over.

Though a roster move will not be official until Thursday, Francis will not re-join the team in Washington. Colorado is expected to clear a roster spot for Roy Oswalt, who will start Thursday night's game.

There is a possibility Francis could remain with the Rockies' organization, but he would have to agree to go to Triple A Colorado Springs because of his major league service time. He has minor-league options remaining.

The Rockies would like to keep him in the organization as depth. But they can no longer keep him in the rotation, given his struggles.
