The Colorado Rockies have been looking to improve their pitching rotation since, well, forever. They’re hopeful they’ll be able to do so with free agent starter Tim Hudson, though, it’s a marriage that appears unlikely despite the Rockies’ interest.

According to Troy Renck, the Rockies are going to kick the tires on Hudson, though the former Atlanta Braves arm will likely look for greener pastures:

#rockies have expressed interest in free agent starter Tim Hudson… Tough go. Roughly 15 teams interested in right hander

As Renck mentions, the Rockies are just one of many teams interested in Hudson considering the thin starting pitching market. Add in the fact that Coors Field, despite the addition of the famed humidor, is still one of the worst pitchers parks in Major League Baseball, the Rockies have a lot working against them.
