Daryl Morey has long stated that his goal has been to bring in a franchise-changing all-star player.

The Rockets' general manager is banking on that player being James Harden.

The Rockets made a blockbuster trade just days before the regular season begins, shipping leading scorer Kevin Martin and other assets to Oklahoma City for Harden, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed.

The Rockets will send Martin, Jeremy Lamb and two future first-round picks and a future second-round pick to Oklahoma City for Harden, Cole Aldridge, Lazar Hayward and Daequan Cook.
