Shawn Marion will get examined Friday morning by team physician Dr. T.O. Souryal to see exactly what’s going on with his injured left calf.

The best-case scenario would be for Marion to return sometime next week.

“We don’t have anybody who can replace what Shawn does,” Carlisle said. “There just aren’t many 6-8 guys who can guard point guards or centers. It’s a hit that we got to take. We’ll see what’s what. We felt he was going to be better at this point in time. So there’s some concern there.”
