Free agent returner and receiver Josh Cribbs, who visited the Lions on Monday, left with a favorable impression of the team but without signing a contract.

He told the Lions' website, "I feel like (Detroit) is one of those teams that's just missing a piece. I want to be on a team that's missing me; that's one piece of the puzzle to be great."

Cribbs, who will turn 30 on June 9 and is still recovering from knee surgery, told the website he will take a couple of days before making a decision.

A report by ProFootballTalk.com Monday said Cribbs would sign with one of four teams — the Raiders, Jets, Giants or Lions. The Lions were his final visit.

The Lions, who did not re-sign returner Stefan Logan, ranked 31st in kickoff returns and 22nd in punt returns last season.
