It appears Cole Hamels is staying with the Phillies.
According to multiple reports, citing sources, Hamels has agreed to a six-year contract. FoxSports.com reports it is worth more than $137.5 million, and ESPN.com more than $140 million.
The contract is the second largest for a starting pitcher behind only the seven-year, $161 million deal CC Sabathia's signed with the Yankees in 2008.
