The Rockies have signed pitcher Chris Volstad to a one-year, $1.5-million minor-league deal, according to Troy Renck of the Denver Post.
The club has been rumored to be looking for pitching, and won't stop after signing Volstad. The team wants to add a veteran starter. Renck mentioned recently that the team was interested in both Derek Lowe and Brandon Webb. The Rockies haven't seen Webb throw yet this offseason.
